Water Soluble Coelenterazine for In Vivo Imaging

Description

This water soluble native coelenterazine has been designed for in vivo imaging of Gaussia luciferase expression with peak light emission at around 470 nm and a broad spectrum extending up to 600 nm. Scientists employ the Gaussia luciferase reporter due to various factors such as its ability to diffuse through the blood-brain barrier (Yu et al., J Neurosci, 2019), small size, in vitro expression profile, sensitivity, resilience to changes in its physical environment, and functionality in mammalian cells.
