Description
Product Overview
The FeraSpin™ Series consists of six size-selected superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticle agents, ranging from FeraSpin XS to FeraSpin XXL. All fractions share an identical chemical composition and ultra-narrow size distribution, enabling precise tuning of pharmacokinetic and imaging properties for preclinical MRI applications.

Research Applications
The series is designed to emulate clinical SPIO agents, with particle fractions adjustable for extended circulation or organ-specific uptake. These agents are applicable for in vivo and in vitro studies, including stem cell tracking, macrophage labeling, liver and spleen imaging, MR sequence development, and Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI).
Imaging Characteristics
Relaxation properties of the FeraSpin Series are size-dependent. T1 and T2/T2* contrast can be finely tuned according to particle size, supporting specific imaging goals from angiography to cellular tracking. Blood half-life in preclinical models varies proportionally with particle diameter, providing flexibility for both short-term and longitudinal studies.

Preclinical Imaging Validation
Accumulation of FeraSpin nanoparticles in liver Kupffer cells results in T2* hypointensity of healthy liver tissue, with contrast enhancement increasing with particle size. FeraSpin XS is also suitable for whole-body T1-weighted MR angiography, demonstrating versatility across imaging modalities.
