Automated Marker-Free Co-Registration for PET, SPECT, CT, MRI & MPI

In preclinical imaging, achieving accurate multimodal co-registration across different imaging platforms—such as PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, and MPI—remains a significant challenge. Traditional reliance on fiducial markers often introduces complications, including dynamic range limitations, field-of-view constraints, and signal degradation over time. To address these issues, a marker-free, phantom-based workflow has been developed, facilitating automated and reproducible co-registration across diverse imaging modalities.

Phantom-Based Calibration for Cross-Device Alignment

The method integrates Phantech’s patented derenzo phantom with Linear-Filling Technology imaged across different scanners. The phantom serves as a reference object, enabling researchers to generate transform matrices for consistent cross-platform alignment.

Automated Analysis with Imalytics Preclinical

Imalytics Preclinical software complements this workflow by providing advanced tools for image fusion, segmentation, and quantitative analysis. The software supports a wide range of imaging formats and modalities, facilitating seamless integration into existing workflows. Its capabilities include automated segmentation of phantoms and biological tissues, quantification of signal intensities, and generation of recovery coefficient curves for partial volume correction. These features enable researchers to perform detailed analyses of biodistribution, dosimetry, and therapeutic efficacy with high precision.
