Product Overview

FeraSpin™ T is a superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticulate MRI agent specifically developed for in vitro cell labeling and subsequent in vivo tracking. The agent enables efficient uptake by a wide range of cell types without the need for transfection reagents while providing strong T2/T2* contrast in MRI studies.

Research Applications

FeraSpin™ T is suitable for labeling stem cells, primary cells, and cell lines to monitor their migration, engraftment, and behavior in vivo. The agent facilitates investigation of cell fate, tissue integration, and mechanisms underlying regenerative or pathological processes.

Imaging Characteristics

The nanoparticles have a mean hydrodynamic diameter of 60 nm with a narrow size distribution, optimized for cellular uptake and stability. Relaxivity at 37 °C and 1.41 T is r1 = 8 L mmol-1 s-1 and r2 = 280 L mmol-1 s-1 in water, providing strong T2/T2* contrast for in vivo MRI visualization of labeled cells.
